In 1970, He joined HDFC in 1978 as a Deputy General Manager and then became its Chairman in 1993. At present, he is still serving as the Chairman of HDFC Bank. He was awarded Padma Bhushan by Government of India in 2006.
She acquired a BA in English. She completed ICWA and MBA and started as a Management Trainee in ICICI (Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India). Today, she has become the CEO & MD of the largest private sector bank in India.

Now, he has offices in Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam, a Range Rover and over 4000 clients. During 2015-16, he generated business of Rs. 51 crores for LIC.
Mr. Puri qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has been working in the banking sector for 40 years in India and other countries. He became the CEO of Citibank, Malaysia in 1992. In September 1994 he returned to India as MD, HDFC Bank and is still continuing at present. Thus, he has become the longest-serving head of any private bank in India.
